Today, NOAA/NWS announced on or about January 16, 2018, NOAA will be moving the NWS NOAAPort Satellite Broadcast Network (SBN) from its current broadcast on SES-1 at 101W to Intelsat’s Galaxy 28 satellite at 89W.
GOES-16 (GOES-R) Advanced Baseline Imager (ABI) sectorized cloud and moisture imagery (SCMI) will be available via NOAAPort starting at around 18:00 UTC on Thursday, March 2. The products, in netCDF 4 format, should be accessible via the GRE channel (PID 108) with the most recent Unisys NOAAPort version 9.4 or 9.5.
